DualFix learns a WordPress site through a Setup Wizard that detects hosting, media, plugins and store, tracks a site health score with activity logs and reports, explains PHP errors in plain language with AI Diagnosis in Pro after you preview and mask the data, and shows every site of a Multisite network in one overview.
Setup Wizard
Let DualFix learn the site before the first scan.
The Setup Wizard detects your hosting, media, plugins and store before any scan runs. The result is a site profile that later stages use to decide how cautious they must be and which data must stay protected.
A cleanup tool that knows nothing about the site treats every row the same. DualFix starts from the environment instead: the hosting account, the size of the media library, the installed plugin ecosystem and whether WooCommerce is active.
Hosting detection. Reads the hosting environment so later operations fit its limits.
Media detection. Records the size and shape of the uploads folder.
Plugin detection. Recognizes installed plugins so their data can be protected through the plugin registry.
Store detection. Detects WooCommerce and reads the store profile when a store is present.
Configuration and protection. The final steps set the site type, the cleanup policy and the automation preference, list the data that is never a cleanup target, show which layers are active and the batch profile for your hosting, and end with a results view. Confirming it locks the profile that later stages use: its hosting profile sets the automatic batch size, and in Pro its cleanup policy also sets the automatic confidence threshold.
The Setup Wizard is included in DualFix Free, with the environment, plugin ecosystem, configuration and batch profile steps; the separate media and store steps belong to the Pro scopes. Run it again after a major change such as a new page builder or a store launch.
Site Health Score
Follow one number, backed by logs and reports.
DualFix shows a site health score and keeps activity logs and reports behind it. The score changes when a cleanup is audited, so it reflects the state of the site rather than an estimate.
The score is a summary; the logs and reports are the evidence. Together they answer the two questions a maintainer asks: how is the site doing, and what exactly was done.

Score updates after audit. The audit stage on the Guarded Cleanup page is what moves the score.
Logs for every run. Manual and scheduled runs are logged in the same place, kept for the number of days you set.
Diagnostics and self-check. Tools also shows the runtime health of DualFix itself (database tables, state, guards), runs a hardening audit of its own safety checks and clears operational data such as expired locks, caches, logs and reports without touching site content.
Configuration export. Settings and the confirmed site profile can be exported to a JSON file and imported on another site after a preview. Logs, scan results, backups and stored secrets are never exported, and an export made by an earlier version is imported with the same Automatic defaults that an update applies.
The health score, reports, diagnostics and configuration export are included in DualFix Free. The score describes maintenance state; it is not a security rating or a performance benchmark.
AI Diagnosis
Understand a broken site before you touch anything.
DualFix explains PHP errors in plain language with AI Diagnosis. Pro When a site breaks, the cause is usually buried in a PHP error log; AI Diagnosis reads the recent PHP errors, DualFix's own error log entries and the hardening results and turns them into an explanation a site owner can act on.
The feature advises only. It never edits code, the database or files; the output is an explanation, suggested next steps and a report you can send to a developer or to support.
Local analysis first. DualFix counts which plugin or theme the recent errors come from without any AI call.
Plain-language explanation. The AI response explains the problem with the evidence behind it and the confidence of each finding.
Safe next steps. Suggestions are limited to actions you can take yourself, such as deactivating a named plugin.
Copy-ready report. A report you can copy and share with a developer or hosting support.
AI Diagnosis requires DualFix Pro and runs on the shared ARN Smart AI connection in Settings > ARN Center, where the provider and keys are configured for every ARN Smart product. Without an AI connection, the local analysis still works. DualFix Free includes the ARN Free AI settings screen shared by ARN Free plugins, but sends no AI requests itself.
Preview and Masking
See and approve exactly what leaves the site.
DualFix shows a preview of the data that would be sent and masks private details before anything is sent to the AI connection. Pro Nothing leaves the site until you confirm the preview.
Preview. The exact log excerpts and findings that would be sent are shown first.
Masking. File paths, the site address, e-mail addresses, IP addresses and tokens are replaced before sending.
Confirmation. The request goes out only after you confirm the masked preview.
Masking and preview are part of AI Diagnosis in DualFix Pro. The confirmed data is sent to the AI provider configured in the shared ARN Smart AI connection.
Multisite Network Overview
See every site in the network from one place.
DualFix shows every site of a WordPress Multisite installation in a Network Overview. Agencies and organizations that run many sites in one network can see the state of each site without opening each dashboard.
- Each site in the network appears with its current maintenance state.
- The overview is read-only and is the entry point for choosing which site to review next.
- Per-site cleanup, backups and settings still run inside that site's own DualFix dashboard.
Network permissions. Full, plugin and theme backups and the main site's backups affect the whole network, so only a Super Admin creates, downloads, verifies, restores or deletes them and sets where backups are stored. A site administrator backs up and restores only the database and uploads of their own site, under that site's own uploads folder.
One network licence. In DualFix Pro, one licence covers the whole network and is bound to its main domain. Only a network administrator activates or changes it; site administrators see its status, and DualFix data and settings stay per site.
The Network Overview and the network permissions are included in DualFix Free and require a WordPress Multisite installation.
A Practical Health and Diagnosis Workflow
- Run the Setup Wizard on a new site and confirm the detected hosting, media, plugins and store.
- Run a first scoped scan and cleanup, then read the health score and the activity log.
- On a Multisite network, open the Network Overview to choose the next site to review.
- When a PHP error appears, open AI Diagnosis and read the local analysis first. Pro
- Review the masked preview, confirm it and read the explanation and next steps. Pro
- Copy the report for your developer and record the fix in the activity log.
Questions About Site Health & Diagnosis
Does AI Diagnosis change anything on my site?
No. It explains errors, suggests safe next steps and produces a report. It never edits code, the database or files.
What is sent to the AI provider?
Only the data shown in the preview, after file paths, the site address, e-mail addresses, IP addresses and tokens have been masked and after you confirm. Without confirmation, nothing is sent.
Do I need my own AI account?
AI Diagnosis runs on the shared ARN Smart AI connection, where the provider and keys are configured once for all ARN Smart products. Without an AI connection, the local plugin-or-theme analysis still works.
Is the health score available in DualFix Free?
Yes. The Setup Wizard, the health score with logs and reports, the Tools diagnostics and the Multisite Network Overview are included in DualFix Free (ARN Smart Cleanup and Recovery); AI Diagnosis and masking require Pro.
