SIMPLE, COMMISSION-FREE ORDERING
Order Storefront
The Eagle3D storefront is a shareable order page where customers browse your catalog, fill a cart and send an order in four steps. Each order enters Eagle3D as a normal order with its customer, products and cost connected, and Eagle3D takes no commission on it.
Visual Catalog
Show products the way customers expect to see them.
Every product appears with its image, name and price, grouped into category tabs with an "All" tab. A single tap opens the detail view with larger images and a description that can include paragraphs, bold and italic text and bullet lists. Customers do not leave the page to read details.
- Image grid with category tabs; categories come from Settings → Values → Product Categories.
- Up to five images per product; the first image is the main image on the product card.
- Formatted descriptions of up to 500 characters, limited to safe formatting tags.
- Choice between showing every active product with a price or only the products marked "Show on the online order page" in the product form.
Uploaded images are checked and redrawn on your server as WebP or JPEG in two sizes, which also removes camera and location data. The storefront is shown in the language chosen for the installation; see Languages and RTL.
Four-Step Checkout
Let customers order from a phone without a long form.
Ordering follows four steps: Products, Cart, Details and Confirm. Customers choose products, review the cart, enter contact and delivery details, and confirm the order. Each step is designed for a phone screen, because most direct customers order from the device where they found your link.
Mobile-first layout. Product grid, detail view and cart are laid out for one-hand use on a phone.
Cart kept in the browser tab. The cart survives a page refresh or a switch to another app while the tab stays open; closing the tab clears it.
Short contact form. Name, phone and address are required; email is optional, and city and district can be made required in Settings → Order Settings. An order note carries color preferences or delivery wishes.
Prices from the server. Prices are read from your catalog on the server when the order is submitted, not from the page. One order can hold up to 30 different products.
The storefront does not include card payment processing. Payment is arranged directly with the customer, as described in the next section.
Payment and Contact
Keep the payment relationship between you and your customer.
After confirming an order, the customer sees the order number, an order summary and the payment information you entered in Settings → Online Orders, such as your bank transfer details. Eagle3D does not stand between you and your customer and does not take a share of the payment.
| Element | What the customer sees |
|---|---|
| Payment information | Your own text, for example bank, recipient and IBAN, with a reminder to write the order number in the payment reference |
| WhatsApp contact button | A "Message us on WhatsApp" link to your business number with the order number filled in; hidden when no number is set |
| Order confirmation | The order number, an order summary, a "Track my order" link and a link to place a new order |
If you need full online card checkout, keep your existing web store and connect it through Store Sync & Communication.
Order Tracking for Customers
Reduce "where is my order" messages with a self-service page.
The tracking page lets a customer check an order with the order number and the phone number used for it. It works for every order in Eagle3D, not only storefront orders, and reads the stage your team updates inside Eagle3D, so there is no separate status to maintain.
Self-service status. Customers see the status, order date, estimated delivery date, ordered items and amount still due.
Shipping in view. Once shipping details are entered, the shipping company and a "Track shipment" link appear on the page.
One source of truth. The tracking page reads the order's current stage from the same record your team works in.
Lookups are limited per visitor address, and a wrong order number or phone number returns no details. Order stages and due dates are explained on Production Stages and Due Dates.
Protected Submissions
Keep the storefront clean without a third-party captcha service.
Storefront submissions pass several checks on your own server before an order is accepted. No outside captcha service is loaded; the visible check is a short sum such as "4 + 7" that real customers answer in a second.
- Server-side prices: only active products with a price can be ordered, and every line is priced from the catalog.
- One-time security question, a hidden trap field and a minimum fill time against bots.
- At most five submissions per visitor address in 15 minutes.
- A known phone number links the order to the existing customer without changing the stored name or address; different details are written into the order note.
The public page never fills in customer details from a phone number, so it cannot reveal another customer's address. Administrative login protection is described on Security and Data Ownership.
A Practical Storefront Workflow
- Add product images, descriptions and prices to the catalog and group products into categories.
- Choose which products appear online, set the payment information and switch on online orders.
- Share the order link in your Instagram bio, WhatsApp status, Google Business profile and website.
- Receive the order, confirm the bank transfer with the customer and start production.
- Update the order stage as work progresses so the customer's tracking page stays current.
Questions About the Storefront
Does the storefront process card payments?
No. Customers see the payment information you entered and a WhatsApp button after ordering, and you arrange payment directly. For full online checkout, connect an existing web store through Store Sync.
Do storefront orders need separate product data?
No. The storefront uses the same catalog, images and prices as the rest of Eagle3D, and each order is costed from the same product recipes.
Can customers order in their own language?
The storefront and tracking page use the language chosen for the installation in Settings → General, one of twelve languages, with right-to-left layouts for Arabic, Hebrew and Persian. Visitors do not pick a separate language; see Languages and RTL.
Where is the storefront hosted?
On your own server, as part of the self-hosted Eagle3D installation. No external storefront service is involved.
