THE FRAME AROUND EVERY PAGE
Header, Footer & Page Title
Vendix Theme draws a simple header, footer and page title when no page builder layout replaces them. The header can be sticky or transparent with a button, the footer holds up to four widget columns, the page title has its own alignment and band, and every page has Page Layout options.
Theme Header
Keep the logo, menu and main action in reach.
The theme header shows the logo or the site title, an optional tagline under it and the main menu. Its options are in Customizer → Vendix:
- Sticky header. The header stays at the top while scrolling and gets a shadow once the page moves.
- Transparent header. The header lies over the first section of the front page, or of all full-width pages, with light or dark text. Each page can also choose a transparent or solid header.
- Header button. A button at the end of the header with its own text, link and new tab setting; on tablets and phones it moves into the menu.
A dropdown that would leave the window opens toward the side with room. With the phone menu open, moving the keyboard focus out of the header or widening the window past the tablet width closes it.
Page Title & Breadcrumbs
Introduce each page the same way.
The page title area can sit at the start or in the center, plain or on a light band. Breadcrumbs can be shown above or below the title.
| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Show the page title | On or off |
| Title alignment | Start or center |
| Title area style | Plain or light band |
| Breadcrumbs | On or off, above or below the title |
On store pages the breadcrumbs show the WooCommerce trail. The breadcrumbs are only the visible trail; the theme prints no structured data for them.
Page Layout Options
Change the frame of one page without a new template.
Each page and post has Page Layout options, both in a box on the edit screen and in the Elementor page settings panel:
- Header and Footer: show or hide.
- Header style: transparent (full-width content only) or solid.
- Page title: show or hide.
- Content width: boxed or full width.
- Content spacing: with or without top and bottom spacing.
- On posts: the sidebar, the place of the post title and the featured image, or no featured image.
A full-width page with a hidden title and no spacing leaves the whole screen to Elementor.
A Practical Header Setup
- Choose the site type, then decide whether the header should be sticky.
- Turn on the transparent header only for pages that start with a full-width image.
- Add the header button for the main action, such as a booking or contact page.
- Fill the footer columns in Appearance → Widgets and check them on a phone.
