ARABIC, RIGHT-TO-LEFT AND MULTILINGUAL WORDPRESS SITES

Languages & RTL

Vendix ships a complete Arabic translation and right-to-left support for its Elementor widgets, ARN Hero designs and Header & Footer layouts on WordPress sites. Alignment controls follow the reading direction, phone numbers keep their order on right-to-left pages and Company Data legal fields follow the country of registration.

Arabic Translation

Run the admin screens and sample content in Arabic.

Vendix includes a complete Arabic translation in its languages folder as .po and .mo files. When the WordPress site language is Arabic, Vendix screens, widget controls, the Icon Manager, Header & Footer presets and widget sample content appear in Arabic, with Arabic plural forms.

The translation loads from the plugin's own folder before the license check, so the locked Vendix screen is translated as well. A translation template (.pot) is included for preparing other languages.

The bundled Arabic translation is part of Vendix Pro. Vendix Free follows the reading direction in its own widgets but does not bundle this translation.

Right-to-Left Layouts

Let layouts and interactions mirror for right-to-left readers.

On right-to-left sites, Vendix widgets follow the reading direction. Sliders, tabs and carousels respond to keys, swipes and arrows in the mirrored direction, and their controls stay on the correct side.

  • ARN Hero designs and Hero Slider. Keyboard and swipe navigation, mouse dragging, slide transitions and the space kept around the arrows are mirrored.
  • Sliders and tabs. Section Tabs scroll buttons, Section Slider keys and arrows, Media Showcase cards and the Logo Carousel loop follow the screen direction.
  • Content widgets. Before/After labels stay with their images, Split Image keeps its pieces in order, and Process, Plan Comparison, Feature Block and Interactive Card details are mirrored.
  • Newspaper widgets. News layouts support right-to-left languages.
  • Floating Contact. The button group sits on the Start or End side you choose, and its fan stays against the screen edge.
  • Edge Image. New "End edge" (formerly "Right edge") reaches the mirrored side, so on a right-to-left site an image set to the right edge before now extends to the left edge.
  • PDF documents. New Arabic and other right-to-left languages are drawn right to left in invoices and other PDF documents.

Test long words, numbers and mixed Arabic and English text on real pages; translated content is often longer or shorter than the sample text.

Start & End Alignment

Set alignment once and keep it correct in both directions.

Alignment controls that follow the reading direction are labeled Start and End, and their editor icons are mirrored on right-to-left sites. Start is the right side on an Arabic page and the left side on an English page.

  • Widgets. Button, Feature Block, Info Box, Plan Comparison, Shape Divider and the other Start / End controls use this logical alignment.
  • Hero Slider. The content position uses Start / End icons that follow the reading direction.
  • List Block. Content follows the site direction until an alignment is set.
  • Header & Footer. Columns align to Start, Center, End or Spread.

Controls that name a screen side, such as the Left and Right options of the Header & Footer side panel, keep that side in both directions.

Phone Numbers & Mixed Direction

Keep numbers readable inside right-to-left text.

On a right-to-left page, a phone number can show its digit groups in reverse order, with the plus sign at the end. Vendix isolates phone and WhatsApp numbers as left-to-right text so they keep their order.

This applies to Header & Footer contact items, {phone} placeholders and copyright text, ARN Contact Cards, ARN Company Information, company Dynamic Tags and the [company_phone], [company_whatsapp] and [arn_company] shortcodes. ARN Get in Touch values that you set to LTR or RTL keep that direction.

Numbers typed by hand into other text are outside this list; check them on the published page.

Company Registration Country

Show the legal identifiers your country uses.

In Vendix → Company Data, the Legal Information fields follow the country of registration:

Country of registration Fields
Türkiye Tax office, tax number, trade registry number, MERSIS number, chamber registration number
Saudi Arabia Commercial registration (CR) number, VAT registration number
Another country Tax or VAT number, company registration number

The [company_tax] shortcode prints the tax office and number in Türkiye and the VAT or tax number elsewhere. Company Information labels follow the same country, for example "VAT Number" and "Commercial Registration (CR)" for Saudi Arabia, and the Organization structured data uses vatID or taxID with the registry numbers as identifiers.

Values saved for another country are kept when you switch. Until a country is chosen, Vendix infers it from the saved legal fields, the Schema organization country or a Turkish site language.

These fields publish the numbers you enter; they do not check them with a tax authority.

Translation Plugins

Use the language features that work with WPML and Polylang today.

Vendix reads the active translation plugin in these places:

  • Language switch. The Header & Footer language switch lists the WPML or Polylang languages when one of them is active, and its own label|link list otherwise.
  • Newspaper editor lists. The post, category, tag and author lists in the Newspaper widget controls are kept separately for each language.
  • Content analysis. The SEO content analysis reads the page language from Polylang or WPML, or from the site language, and warns when the text is mostly written in another script.
  • Size charts. A translated size chart shows in the visitor's language with WPML or Polylang.
  • Multi-currency. Free shipping progress, bundle discounts, the lowest price line, the price filter and loyalty points follow the currency the customer sees with WPML WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency.

Full translation-plugin integration, such as assigning headers per language or translating Vendix widget fields through WPML's Elementor translation, is not part of the current release. Test multilingual workflows on a staging copy first.

Translatable Sample Content

Get sample texts in the site language.

Widgets dropped on a page arrive with finished sample content: a made-up business, texts that belong together and drawings shipped with the plugin. The texts are translatable strings, so an Arabic site shows the Arabic sample texts of the bundled translation.

Placeholder texts such as the FAQ open and close labels or the Hero Slider scroll text are not saved with the widget, so they follow the site language. Header & Footer presets and new links look for translated page slugs, such as the Arabic slug of an About page, when the site has one.

Section Library sections are the exception: they arrive with English sample text to replace. Widgets saved earlier keep their existing content.

A Practical RTL Setup

  1. Set the WordPress site language to Arabic in Settings → General.
  2. Choose the country of registration in Vendix → Company Data and fill in the legal fields.
  3. Build a test page with Start / End alignment, a slider and contact details.
  4. Publish a header and footer, then check the side panel, sub-menus and phone numbers.
  5. Review the page at desktop and phone widths, including text that mixes Arabic and English.

Questions About Languages & RTL

Is the Arabic translation complete?

Yes. Vendix Pro includes a complete Arabic translation of its interface, presets and sample content, loaded from the plugin's languages folder.

Do I need to re-align widgets when I switch a site to Arabic?

Controls labeled Start and End follow the reading direction, so Start moves to the right side on an Arabic page. Check controls that name a fixed screen side, such as the Header & Footer side panel.

Does Vendix support Saudi VAT and CR numbers?

Yes. With Saudi Arabia as the country of registration, Company Data shows CR and VAT registration number fields, and the Organization structured data uses the VAT number as vatID.

Does Vendix work with WPML and Polylang?

Partly. The language switch, Newspaper editor lists, content analysis and size charts work with them today. Per-language header assignment and WPML translation of Vendix widget fields are not part of the current release.
